Abdul Ghaffar : ウィキペディア英語版 | Abdul Ghaffar Abdul Ghaffar ((アラビア語: عبد الغفار)) and Abdul Ghafoor ((アラビア語: عبد الغفور)) are two related male Muslim given names, and, in modern usage, surnames. They are built from the Arabic words ''Abd'', ''al-'' and either ''Ghaffar'' or ''Ghafoor'' respectively. Both names mean "servant of the All-forgiving", ''Al-Ghaffār'' and ''Al-Ghafūr'' being two of the names of God in the Qur'an, which give rise to the Muslim theophoric names. The letter ''a'' of the ''al-'' is unstressed, and can be transliterated by almost any vowel, often by ''u''. Alternative transliterations for the last word allow for the initial "gh" to appear as "g", the "ff" to appear as "f" or vice versa, and the "oo" to appear as "u" or "ou", all subject to variable spacing and hyphenation. The names may refer to: ==Males==
